Violinist,  Nicholas Lin

​

Nicolas Lin, a 9th-grade student, is currently

studying violin under the tutelage of Elizabeth Faidley.

He has displayed his virtuosic skills as a soloist with

the IMONY Chamber Orchestra and

Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra. Moreover,

he has had the opportunity to learn from renowned

violinists such as Augustine Hadelich, Ray Chen,

Carolyn Widmore, and Lisa Batiashvili

in their masterclasses. His exceptional talent has

been recognized through numerous accolades,

winning the Grand Prize of the 2020 Prima Volta

Music Competition, the 2020 International Young

Artists Competition,  and the Gold Medal at the

2020 National Young Maestro Competition. 

He also received First Prizes at the 2020 NY Artists

International Competition, the 2020 NY Young Virtuoso Competition , the 2020-21East Coast International Music Competition, the 2021  VIVO International Competition, the 2021 Manhattan International Music Competition and the 2021Canadian International Music Competition. When he is not playing the violin, Nicolas indulges in his hobbies of filmmaking, playing basketball, and video games.
