       O U R   M I S S I O N

Young Artist Performances affords nationally recognized young instrumentalists, preparing for careers in classical music performance, the opportunity to present advanced repertoire in a professional yet supportive environment.  Our young artists gain valuable on-stage experience and earn much needed funds for their educations.  Audiences are able to attend high quality concerts, rich with serious classical repertoire, in intimate settings and follow these young performers to greatness.

Violist Dillon Scott will perform classical works with pianist, Chee-Hang See. Dillon is a prize winner at the 2021 Sphinx Competition and is the associate principal violist of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra.

March 2021 - YAP Artist Iris Shepherd receives a Jack Kent Cooke Award and wins the National Finals of the MTNA Senior Strings Competition.

September 2020 - YAP Artist Shannon Fitzhenry is named the concertmaster of the El Paso Symphony.

February 2020 - YAP Artist Sterling Elliott solos with the Detroit Symphony, Boston Symphony and Philadelphia Orchestras.YAP Artist Joshua Kovac receives a Jack Kent Cooke award.

 

February 2019 - YAP Artist Sterling Elliott wins the Sphinx  Competition 

 

April 2018 - YAP Artist Eric Tsai reaches the 2nd round of the senior division 2018 Menuhin Festival in Geneva, Switzerland.

April 2018 - YAP Artist Lydia Newton receives a four year full fellowship to the University of Miami, Frost School of Music.

Cellist, Mairéad Flory , will perform clasical works accompanied by piano. Mairéad is a graduate of the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University and is pursuing a Masters of Music Degree on cello performance at the Thornton School, University of Southern California.

Violinist, Lilyanne Thoroughman, age 14 who is a student of Kurt Sassmannshaus, perform with pianist, Dobin Park.  Lilyanne has soloed with the Starling Chamber Orchestra, the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, and the Blue Ash Montgomery Orchestra. She has appeared on National Public Radio’s, From the Top.
